How to Submit a Live Scan for a Background Check in Florida
Step 1: Get the Correct ORI Number
Before booking your appointment, obtain the correct ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) number. This code ensures your fingerprint results are sent to the right agency — such as the Florida Board of Nursing, Department of Health, or other licensing bodies.

Schedule an appointment with a certified Live Scan provider approved by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).Step 3: Bring the Required Documents
